Our staff is trained and skilled, and we strive to provide energetic and fun-loving service to each patient. Each member of our treatment team is a registered assistant, and our office staff has years of experience in treating patients with the highest level of care. We strive to stay abreast of the very latest in technology and advances by regularly attending continuing education courses and seminars.

 

Velvet
Office Manager
Velvet was employed as Office Manager in 1992. Her previous employment was in the field of banking where she served as Assistant Cashier for First National Bank of Denham Springs and Vice President of Southeast National Bank. During her financial employment she graduated from:
- School of Supervisory Training at Louisiana State University.
- National Consumer Lending School at the University of Oklahoma.
- National Commercial Lending School at the University of Oklahoma.

She is a Notary Public for the Parish of Tangipahoa. Velvet is also certified in child and adult CPR.

Hobbies- Velvet enjoys gardening, cooking, boating and fishing with her husband. She also loves caring for her two outside cats, Opossum and Boots!

Barbara K
Administrative Assistant
Barbara joined our team in 2005. She has worked in the Administration field for over twenty years. Barbara also has her certification in Adult and Child CPR.

Hobbies- She enjoys traveling, shopping, and spending time with family and friends.

Dana
Schedule Coordinator
Dana began her employment here in December 1998. She has worked in the medical field for over twenty years and worked at North Oaks Medical Center in the ER for 4 years. Dana is also recognized graduating from Delta Medical College 1987- She received a diploma as a Certified Medical Assistant. She has also received a certificate from Nicholas State in Thibodeaux, LA for certified EKG Tech and Echo stenographer. She recently finished classes at Southeastern University and is waiting to graduate in general studies. She also has her certification in Child and Adult CPR.

Hobbies- Dana enjoys watching her son play football and going to beauty pageants with her daughter and niece. She also loves traveling with her family and friends, and shopping with her twin sister.

Michelle
Schedule Coordinator/Orthodontic Assistant
She joined the staff in November, 2007. She is also working towards her certification as a Personal Trainer.

Hobbies- she enjoys working out, shopping, traveling with her husband and hanging out with her family and friends. Michelle also loves watching her son play football.

Barbara H
Treatment Coordinator/Certified Orthodontic Assistant
She is also recognized for certification in dental radiology in Louisiana and Mississippi. Barbara has 10 ½ years in general dentistry before starting with Dr. McMinn’s office in April of 1992. She also served on the Board of Directors at Oak Forest Academy. Barbara has her certification in adult and child CPR.

Hobbies- Barbara enjoys boating, shopping, hanging out with friends, and going to the beach with her friends. She and her husband enjoy traveling and tailgating at LSU FOOTBALL GAMES. Most of all, she enjoys spending quality time with her sons.

Connie
Treatment Coordinator/Certified Orthodontist AssistantConnie
Connie started her employment with Dr. McMinn in 1987. She assists in managing the McComb, Mississippi office. Prior to working in the orthodontic field she worked in the dental field as an assistant. She also has certification in dental radiology in Louisiana and Mississippi and has her certification in child and adult CPR.

Hobbies-She enjoys riding horses with her husband, loves animals, hanging out with family, friends and traveling.

Melissa B
Administrative Assistant
Melissa joined Dr. McMinn and Dr. Turgeau’s McComb team in August of 2006. She graduated from the University of Arkansas in 1982 with a degree in Marketing and has previous experience in retail and in the insurance field. She was a stay at home mom several years prior to her employment. She has received certification in child and adult CPR.

Hobbies- Her hobbies include reading, traveling, cooking, spending time with her family, and working with teenagers at her church.

Chastity
Assistant Treatment Coordinator
She started working with the McComb team in November of 2007.Chastity graduated from Domestic Health Care Institute in Baton Rouge, Louisiana in 2000. She has her certification in dental assisting. She also has her radiology and Expanded Duty Dental Assistant Certificate.

Hobbies- She enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, shopping, and watching football games.

Jodi
Certified Dental Technician
Jodi joined the team in 2006. She is a Recognized Graduate with a degree in Dental Laboratory Technology from LSU Health Science Center School of Dentistry in 2006. She is also a member of the LDLA and NBC in Dental Laboratory Technology.

Hobbies- Jodi loves playing with her dog Tucker and spending time with her family and friends.

Melissa
Clinic Coordinator/Certified Orthodontic Assistant
Melissa joined Dr. McMinn and Turgeau’s office in 2002. Prior to joining our office she had 4 ½ years dental experience. She is also recognized for Expanded Duty Dental Assistant EDDA and has her certification in child and adult CPR.

Hobbies- She loves traveling, playing games, caring for animals, bowling, shopping, and spending time with her new born son, family and friends.

Patti
Orthodontic Assistant
Patti joined our team in 2003. Patti is also a Certified Dental Assistant. She had 6 ½ years dental experience before joining our team and worked as a Pre-K assistant. She also has her certification in child and adult CPR.

Hobbies- Patti enjoys crafts and fishing. She also enjoys going camping, boating on the river, spending time with her family and friends. Most of all, she loves to watch her daughter cheer and her son play baseball.

Ellen
Orthodontic Assistant
Ellen has been an Orthodontic Assistant for twenty-five years and has recently joined Drs. McMinn and Turgeau’s practice. She is certified in radiology, E.D.D.A. and Invisalign Removable Appliances. She has also been certified in child and adult CPR.

Hobbies- Ellen enjoys spending time with her two daughters, a son-in-law, and grandson. She likes to read, travel and loves watching Saints football. Her favorite color is tie-dye.

Ashley
Orthodontic Assistant
Ashley joined our Hammond team in April 2011.  She currently resides in Folsom, Louisiana.  She attended University of Louisiana at Lafayette.  Her previous experience has included working in the furniture industry as a design consultant, as well as the food industry.  She looks forward to obtaining her certification in orthodontic assisting.

Hobbies- Ashley enjoys spending time with her friends and family and time outdoors, particularly fishing.  Other hobbies include traveling, shopping, and reading.
